Name: Spring Road Toys
Affiliation: SOCKs

Spring Road Toys is a small toy store located in the downtown district of Elmcrest. It sat inside a light brown brick building that was two stories tall and long enough to hold four shopping stores. The building was covered in a green ivy and would start to bloom in the month of June. The brown bricks would slowly be lost to the maze of green.

Spring Road Toys had a little sign hanging by two rusted old chains that held the three piece board sign. Each one of the three boards held one word of the title “Spring Road Toys”. The boards were painted white, while the words were painted in blue.

Inside the walls of SR Toys, children were treated to an environment built around making kids feels special. They were welcomed with open arms by Mrs. Thompson and were encouraged to play with all the toys or read all the magazines in the store.

SR Toys was known for the "little things". You wouldn't find the latest and greatest toys here, but you would find the hard to find items, or could special order any item you wanted.

SR Toys became a favorite hang out for the members of SOCKs. They would spend countless hours in the store over summer vacation getting supplies ready for a week full of fun. But, they weren't the only ones. Boys and girls of all ages stopped by and picked up items all day long. SR Toys was a thriving business.

But, not everyone loved SR Toys. None more than the one man who didn't see a dime of anything that sold at SR Toys - Phillip Arthur Jones.

Jones and Charlie Thompson had a checkered past. Mr. Thompson was the former mayor of Elmcrest before Jones came into power. And it was Jones who made sure Mr. Thompson was out of office so he could start his corrupt empire.

During his time in office, Mr. Thompson ran a clean ship. He looked over Elmcrest like it was one of his very own children. He nurtured it, helped it grow, but let the townspeople know what was really important – family. And not only that, he stressed that the cornerstone of the town were the children. He always said the children were the future of Elmcrest and that Elmcrest kids were very special people. They had the potential to make the town into something great, something beautiful. The world was their oyster and nothing was going to stop them. The town flourished in this time and Elmcrest had Charlie Thompson to thank for it.

But all that was in the past now. For all that was before Jones.

Now, Charlie Thompson was in charge of the Toy Store - looking after the children of town. Making sure they were safe...
